As today is our Independence Day and I've decided to upload a blog, I can't help but put out a very simple thing.
Don't judge anyone's religion based on their patriotism or their patriotism based on their religion. Let those two function separately. So, to each and every person born in India and to those who call India their home,
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
My today's recipe is super simple but packed with flavours and spice. Hope you try this and enjoy as much as I did.
Ingredients:
Chicken
Garlic
Ginger
Coriander leaves
Mint leaves
Green chillies
Ground pepper
Salt
Buttermilk/Yogurt (make sure your buttermilk is not sour)
Method:
1. Wash chicken well and put slits so that the flavour seeps well and salt them.
2. Grind all other ingredients except yogurt/buttermilk in a blender. Add a real good amount of chillies, as that is the key flavour and the spice for the dish.
3. Marinate your chicken in the blend and let it rest for a good 1 to 2 hours.
4. You can use any method to cook your chicken, bake them, grill them or plain old shallow fry. (I shallow fried them)
As the blend is of yogurt/buttermilk, you'll find yourself with a nice amount of leftover marinade. So, to make sure you use the goodness to the last drop, their is a trick.
5. In a non-stick pan, take a table spoon of oil and cook the leftover marinade for 2-3 minutes on low flame. That will give you a delicious sauce/chutney to go with your chicken.
Give it a try.
Enjoy!
Thank you.🖤
