Fruit Custard

Hey there,

Fruit Custard is something I have loved since I was a kid, and thought of making it in bulk and having it throughout the day, gives me a rush.

So this my simple take on fruit custard. The thickness can be adjusted as per your taste, I’m not a big fan of jelly custard, I like it more in a smoothie thickness. So, use the custard powder accordingly.

Let’s begin!

Ingredients:

  • Apple - 1

  • Banana - 2

  • Pomegranate - 1

  • Grapes - 1 cup chopped

  • Milk - 1 liter

  • Custard powder - 1/2 cup

  • Sugar - 1/4th cup

  • Sweet condensed milk - 3/4th cup

  • Vanilla essence- 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Chop the fruits

  2. Mix them with sweet condensed milk

  3. Heat the milk

  4. Take a part of the warm milk and mix with the custard powder. Make sure there are no lumps and keep aside

  5. Add the sugar into the heating milk

  6. Add 1 tsp of vanilla essence

  7. Add the custard mix back to the heating milk

  8. Cook till it thickens to your preferred consistency

  9. Once it cools down, add it with the fruits. To make sure that there are no lumps, you can run it through a sieve.

  10. Adjust sweetness with sweet condensed milk

  11. Chill it before you serve

You can always add more varieties of fruits, I only had these basic fruits and with those itself, the custard tasted amazing.

It’s super easy and a quick dessert which will be loved equally by all ages. So give it a try and let me know how it was.

Thank you 🖤
