Chocolate Mousse (Egg-less)



How often do you find yourself craving for a rich chocolate dessert and what internet gives you is a long complicated procedure. What a turn off!


If I am craving for something sweet, I need it to be soft and delicious but the cooking time is a huge element which I can't ignore. To be short, I want something Kidilam (means amazing in Malayalam) and Phata-phat (that would be quick in Hindi). You can't deny that regional languages have better words to express your feeling than the divine English.


So, the recipe I'm sharing today is of soft and melt in your mouth Chocolate Mousse. Chocolate lovers will get a glimpse of heaven with every bite and if you add Vanilla ice cream on top, you are sorted for the day.


Ingredients:

  • 4 cup milk

  • 2 cup powdered sugar

  • Half cup Cocoa powder

  • Half cup Corn flour

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate

Method:


  1. Mix everything in a bowl except chocolate. Use a whisk, it might take 5-10 minutes.

  2. Sieve the mixture to a saucepan, just to make sure the mixture is smooth.

  3. Cook the mixture and add the chocolates, let it melt nicely.

  4. Keep stirring the mixture to avoid any lumps.

  5. Let it cook till it reaches a thick custard like consistency.

  6. Transfer to a well lined baking tin or any bowl of your choice.

  7. Let it cool down completely in room temperature before you chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.


Slice it with hot knife and enjoy the richness of that soft and tempting Chocolate Mousse.
